Biography
With Ph.D. in information science, Prof. Dr. Masanori Arita started his career as a termed researcher at Electrotechnical Laboratory, Tsukuba, Japan. He moved to Computational Biology Research Center of AIST (Japan) as its starting member in 2001, and was later appointed as Associate Professor of Computational Biology Department, the University of Tokyo in 2003. Then he started to work on plant metabolomics with Prof. Dr. Kazuki Saito and joined RIKEN Plant Science Center in 2007. Currently, He is working as a
Professor at the National Institute of Genetics in Mishima, Japan. Other than that, he also becomes the Head of Bioinformation and DNA Data Bank of Japan (DDBJ) and the Team Leader at the Center for Sustainable Resource Science, RIKEN, Japan. Currently, he is working on various projects related to the analysis and interpretation of metabolomic data, software development for metabolome analysis and simulations, as well as the integration of metabolic databases.
