Assoc. Prof. Dr. Helmi Wasoh @Mohamad Isa Faculty of Biotechnology and Biomolecular Sciences, UPM Assoc. Prof. Dr. Helmi Wasoh is an Associate Professor at the Department of Bioprocess Technology, Faculty of Biotechnology and Biomolecular Sciences, Universiti Putra Malaysia. Dr. Helmi has authored and co-authored several national and international publications and also working as a reviewer for reputed professional journals. Dr. Helmi is having an active association with different societies and academies around the world. He made his mark in the scientific community with the contribuAons and widely recognition from honourable subject experts around the world. Dr. Helmi has received several awards for the contributions to the scientific community. His major research interest involves Bioprocess Technology, Enzyme Application, Biosensor.

Agriculture and Food Security
Dr. Sithichoke Tangphatsornruang National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), Thailand Dr. Sithichoke Tangphatsornruang is the director of National Omics Center at BIOTEC, NSTDA (Thailand). He is the principal investigator in a number of plant genome projects including agricultural crops and species that are important for environments; such as cucurbits, rubber tree, legumes, sugarcane, medicinal plants and mangrove species. He employed sequencing and genotyping techniques to study comparative genomics, assess population genetic diversity, gene expression analysis and mapping QTL. He published more than 130 papers in scientific journals and set up a service lab in agricultural genomics in order to bridge the gap between academia and industry.

Drug Discovery and Healthcare
Prof. Dr. Elfahmi Yaman Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Indonesia Elfahmi, finished his bachelor degree and pharmacist at The Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Andalas, Padang, West Sumatera, 1993 and 1995 respectively, Magister degree at The School of Pharmacy, Bandung Institute of Technology, 1997, doctoral degree in pharmaceutical biology from University of Groningen (RuG), The Netherlands in 2006, and he is now a lecturer and researcher in Pharmaceutical Biology Department, The School of Pharmacy, Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB). His main research interests are in medicinal plant biotechnology, Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry, herbal medicines. He has been invited as plenary and invited speakers for many national and international conferences on pharmaceutical sciences, nutraceuticals, bioscience as well as biotechnology. He is a member of expert team at the Ministry of Health and at The National Agency of Drug and Food Control (NADFC – BPOM), Republic of Indonesia, in field of herbal medicines.

AI and Bioinformatics for Modern Biotechnology
Dr. Lee Yang Ping FGV Holdings Berhad Dr. Yang Ping LEE is Head of Precision Agriculture and Genomics in FGV R&D Sdn Bhd. He combines genotyping and phenotyping in oil palm genomics, bioinformatics, and breeding research to produce next generation oil palm planting materials of various traits of interest. He utilises remote sensing, precision tools and geographical information system in field research to maximise yield with improved efficiency in replanting, minimize crop loss with early detection of diseases in oil palm plantation management. He is utilising Big Data analytics in oil yield prediction for oil palm crop. With the combination of best planting materials obtained from molecular breeding and genomic selection, and field management using advanced remote sensing and geospatial technology, his research currently is towards maximising oil yield per optimal planting density and advanced remote sensing for palm health monitoring.
